Flexibel, mobil, temporär - Alternative Wohnsysteme

Abstract

Im letzten Jahrhundert entstanden diverse Konzepte für flexible, mobile und temporäre Wohnsysteme. Unter ihnen findet man kleine mobile Zellen, welche bei einem Ortswechsel mitgenommen werden, sowie Wohnkonzepte, die durch ihre gemeinschaftliche Nutzung ihren Bewohnern vielerorts eine Unterkunft bieten. Weiters unterscheidet sich der Kontext in welchem diese Projekte platziert werden, angefangen bei urbanen Zonen und peripheren Landschaften bis hin zu utopischen Welten. Ein wichtiges Thema all dieser Entwürfe ist die Anpassungsfähigkeit von Stadt, Architektur und Behausung an die jeweilige Lebenssituation ihrer Nutzer, als ein ständiger Adaptionsprozess, welcher auf gesellschaftliche Veränderungen reagiert. Anpassung, erreicht durch Flexibilität und Mobilität der Behausung, welche das ständige Trennen und Zusammenfügen von den einzelnen Bestandteilen des Lebens erlaubt.<br />

For the last hundred years various ideas for flexible, mobile and temporary residential schemes have originated. Among these there are small mobile cells that can be transferred locally as well as housing concepts that - by means of joint use - can offer lodging at different places. Additionally, these projects can be placed in differing situations: reaching from urbane zones and peripheral landscapes up to utopian worlds.<br />Of great importance to all these ideas is that towns, architecture and lodging are all adaptable to the respective environment of their inhabitants. This indicates a constant process of adaption that is subjected to social developments. In this sense, adaption is achieved by the flexibility and the mobility of lodging and therefore permits the constant separation and joining of the single components of life.<br />
