Abstract:
Lasselsberger, a.s. in der Tschechischen Republik.
The theoretical part of the present thesis outlines different strategies of replenishment and various concepts which are applied in the field of distribution logistics.
A company has to choose from a range of available replenishment strategies. The choice of a suitable strategy cannot be prescribed across - the - board. The selected replenishment strategy of a company aims to achieve the objectives of the replenishment. The fulfillment of the replenishment-objectives is associated with efforts. There are strategies, such as the simple cycle ordering procedure, which are able to accomplish the replenishment at small expenditures, but with possible reliability risks. On the other hand, a strategy like Distribution Resource Planning (DRP), with much higher requirements, can achieve the objectives of the replenishment with a higher level of reliability.
Compared to the cycle ordering procedure, DRP exceeds the simple re-filling assignment, emerging from the higher input.
The replenishment in sales logistics can be accompanied by concepts aiming to improve the process of replenishment. These concepts attempt to expedite the material flow by forcing the flow of information.
Furthermore, the cooperation between enterprises in the supply chain is a primary objective when applying these concepts. This cooperation includes making demand informations available throughout the entire value added chain.
The practical part of this work regards the assessment of the restructuring procedure accomplished by Lasselsberger, a.s. in the Czech Republic.
To evaluate the planned measures an analysis of critical points was carried out. The results were used to develop a cause-effect diagram. By implementing the planned restructuring measures, those impacts ideally should be resolved.
