Abstract:
In this talk I will take the audience on a journey through my research as a postdoc in the group of Hans Briegel in Innsbruck during the years 2013 to 2017, shortly presenting our joint work on no-go theorems for adding control to unknown subroutines, or “coherent controlization” as we have called this task, and work-arounds in linear optical systems as well as in ion trap and superconducting circuits. I will then briefly outline our work on quantum-enhanced reinforcement learning, before focusing on the problem of identifying flexible architectures for quantum metrology within the context of measurement-based quantum computers.
