Söhlemann Guevara, C. I. (2009).

The globalisation speeds up the suburbanisation process, the creation of new centres and the fragmentation of the Latin-American metropolises. The social - spatial segregation increase is one consequence. At the same time this causes new insecurity types. In Bogotá the suburbanisation process is causing the expansion of its segregation pattern to the metropolitan region, risking its sustainability.
