Abstract:
Mauthen.
The aim of this thesis is to be made an analysis for the uncertainties in the evaluation for the probability of flood water. As a base for these evaluations is taken the design flood HQn for the valley of the Gail River. The annuality n is for 10, 50 and 100 years chosen and also for 500 and 1000 years, so that to be determined the extrapolation uncertainties. All the evaluations are made for two of the stations of the Gail River, which are also with different catchment areas. These stations are Maria Lugau and Mauthen. Chapter 1 includes a concisely definition of the project and the methods of work.
Chapter 2 is based on the statistical analysis of the data series for the chosen annuality of both river stations.
Chapter 3 contains a research for existing of maverick. The calculations in this case are made for both stations and for four different cases of samples.
In chapter 4 is made an analysis for the consequence of the historical flood water. These historical data are taken from "Hochwasserchronik Kärnten".
