Abstract:
Known cases of isoequilibrium and isokinetic
relationships (IER, IKR) in gas phase reactions were analysed
by employing classical collision theory which allows
the order of magnitude of pre-exponential factors to be
predicted. The vibrational relaxation must be taken into
account. In the majority of cases IER and IKR are caused
by the fundamental correlations between such parameters
as the reduced mass of colliding particles, vibrational frequency,
and bond strength.
