Large- scale construction projects are very complex, heavily influenced by external factors and highly competitive. In addition, the phases of the project can not be separated clearly and often overlap. From the perspective of a supplier the complexity of a large- scale construction project makes it very difficult to understand these processes. Suppliers are generally focused on different product fields and rarely see the entire construction project. This causes that they often have no experience with project management. This thesis deals with the topic project management of large- scale construction projects from the perspective of a supplier. Due to the lack of experience in this field, a case study with a leading supplier was conducted. To identify the requirements of the stakeholders the soft systems methodology approach was applied and based on this new knowledge about large- scale construction projects and the requirements of the stakeholders some improvements for the company were developed.
