Wertstromorientiertes Prozessmanagement

Abstract

Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Fragestellung, ob das Prozessmanagement und die Wertstrommethode voneinander profitieren können. Dazu werden beide Methoden im Überblick dargestellt und durch interessante Aspekte des Wertstromdesigns in der Verwaltung und der Lean Administration erweitert. Die beiden Themengebiete wurden hinzugezogen, weil die Wertstrommethode für Fertigungsprozesse entwickelt wurde und für die Kombination mit dem Prozessmanagement ebenso Ideen und Erkenntnisse aus der Umsetzung des Lean Gedankens in Abläufen der Verwaltung notwendig sind, um eine bessere Anwendbarkeit auf sämtliche Prozesse eines Unternehmens zu erlangen.<br />Darauf aufbauend werden zwei einleitend formulierte Hypothesen untersucht. Einerseits wird behauptet, dass die Wertstrommethode von Elementen und der Systematik des Prozessmanagements profitieren kann.<br />Andererseits wird vermutet, dass das Prozessmanagement durch die Leitlinien und diverse Charakteristiken der Wertstrommethode erfolgreich unterstützt werden kann. Im Zuge der Erarbeitung werden Potenziale einer gegenseitigen methodischen Anreicherung untersucht, sowie Anknüpfungspunkte und Verbindungsmöglichkeiten diskutiert. Aus den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen wird eine gemeinsame Vorgehensweise entwickelt, welche die Vorteile beider Herangehensweisen kombinieren und vereinen soll.<br />Zusammenfassend kann gesagt werden, dass eine kombinierte Vorgehensweise gefunden wurde, der das Prozessmanagementsystem - wegen seiner umfassenden Systematik - und der Prozess-Lifecycle im Speziellen als Rahmen dienen. Eine sehr intensive Kombination beider Vorgehensweisen ist vorrangig während der Auswahl, Analyse und Konzeption von Prozessen beziehungsweise Wertströmen möglich. Grundsätze aus der Wertstrommethode können aber beispielsweise auch auf die Prozesslandkarte und das Betreiben von Prozessen angewendet werden. Darüber hinaus wurden ein Einführungsmodell in Abhängigkeit von der Prozessfähigkeit und ein Ansatz zur ressourcenorientierten Verknüpfung und Abstimmung von Wertströmen entwickelt. Die Vorteile der kombinierten Prozessanalyse werden anhand eines praktischen Beispiels gezeigt.<br />

This work deals with the question, whether the approaches of Process Management and Value Stream Design can benefit from each other.<br />In the beginning there are brief introductions to these two subjects.<br />Value Stream Design will be extended by aspects of Lean Office and Lean Administration. These two subjects were added because Value Stream Design was originally developed for manufacturing processes. It is important for a combination with Process Management to consider important ideas and findings of the transfer of the "Lean Thinking" to administrative processes in order to get a better applicability for all processes within a company.<br />Based on that, two hypotheses are tested. On one hand it is asserted that the Value Stream Design can profit from items and the methodology of the Process Management approach. On the other hand it is assumed that the Process Management can successfully be supported by the eight guidelines and diverse characteristics of the Value Stream Design method. In the course of their research, potentials of a two-way methodical enhancement are analysed as well as links and possible connections are discussed. Based on the findings, a mutual procedure is developed which should be able to combine the positive aspects of both approaches.<br />In summary, it can be said, that a combined procedure was developed, which is based on the Process Management System - because of its holistic approach - and especially on the process life-cycle. A very intense combination of both practices is primary possible during selection, analysis and the design of processes respectively value streams. Principles of Value Stream Design can be applied for example to the map of the process system or the management and supervision of the processes too. Furthermore a proceeding for the implementation according to the process capability and a resource oriented approach to link and match value streams was developed. The advantages of the combined process analysis are shown by means of a concrete example.
