Integration von Fassadenbegrünung in das Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Abstract

Um auch in Zukunft bei stets steigenden Einwohnerzahlen in Städten ausreichend Wohnraum zu bieten, werden immer mehr innerstädtische Grünflächen weichen müssen. Doch diese bestimmen maßgeblich das Klima in Städten und die Qualität des Stadtlebens. Vertikale Gebäudebegrünung bietet die Möglichkeit für Grün in der Stadt an Orten, an denen bisher kein Platz dafür zu sein schien. Um die hohe Lebensqualität in Wien und auch in weiteren internationalen Städten zu erhalten, ist es daher unabdingbar diese in den urbanen Raum zu integrieren.Um die bisher vorhandenen Begrünungssysteme direkt in zukünftige Planungsprozesse einzubinden und auf diese Weise mit der voranschreitenden digitalen Entwicklung in der Baubranche mitzuhalten, ist eine Integration dieser in Building Information Modeling (BIM) dringend notwendig. In dieser Diplomarbeit erfolgte eine detaillierte Recherche hierzu. Das Potential der vorhandenen vertikalen Begrünungssysteme wurde analysiert und nach Erfassung der notwendigen Grundlagen, wurde jeweils ein Prototyp für die verschiedenen Systeme erstellt.Im Anschluss daran wurde anhand eines automatisierten Prozesses der zeitaufwändige konventionelle Planungsprozess von Begrünungssystemen optimiert, sodass es möglich ist die simulierten Begrünungsvarianten anhand von festgelegten Parametern zu evaluieren. Zu diesen Parametern zählen die durch die Gebäudehöhe bedingte Erreichbarkeit der Begrünung, die geografische Lage des Gebäudes, die Fassadengestaltung oder der Begrünungsanteil der Fassade. Durch diese Integration soll die Grundlage für marktreife BIM-Lösungen für Fassadenbegrünung geschaffen werden.Anhand eines Projektbeispiels wird die Anwendung der Prototypen und die damit möglichen Berechnungen über den Lebenszyklus des Gebäudes dargestellt. Die Ergebnisse der Automatisierung der Platzierung der Fassadenbegrünung am Beispielgebäude werden auf Basis von Vergleichskriterien gegenübergestellt, in Form von Diagrammen veranschaulicht und die generierten Begrünungsvarianten werden in Virtual Reality präsentiert.

To continue to provide sufficient living space in future cities with ever-increasing numbers of inhabitants, more and more inner-city green spaces will have to make way. However, these have a decisive impact on the quality of city life. Vertical building greenery offers the possibility for green spaces in the city in places where there seemed to be no room for them before. To maintain the high quality of life in cities worldwide, it is therefore essential to integrate them into the urban space.To include existing greening systems directly into future planning processes and thus keep up with the advancing digital development in the construction industry, an integration of these systems into Building Information Modeling (BIM) is urgently needed. Therefore, within the scope of a research project, the potential of the existing vertical greening systems for integration into BIM was analyzed after detailed research and prototypes for different greening systems were created for the first time. In this way, the common façade greening systems are digitized and could already be applied to example models on a trial basis. The results of different greening variants are evaluated and compared. The evaluation serves as a decision support for planners. The selection criteria established include design, costs for construction, service and maintenance and the life cycle assessment of the systems.Using a project example, the use of the prototypes and the corresponding calculations over the life cycle of the building are presented. The results of the automation of the façade greening are compared based on comparison criteria, illustrated in the form of diagrams and the generated greening options are presented in virtual reality.
