Participatory User Interface und Interaction Design im Web App Engineering

Abstract

Zwei Web Applications werden mittels partizipativer Design Methoden entwickelt, um somit eine bestmögliche Gestaltung und Wirkung im allgemeinen Sinne für deren UserInnen zu erlangen. Die Web Applications werden im Rahmen eines Projekts mit Inhalten der APA (Austria Presse Agentur) erstellt und nach Möglichkeit zur Verbreitung auf heimischen und unter Umständen auch ausländischen News Portalen online gestellt. In beiden Applications dreht es sich rund um die Welt des Wintersports mit folgenden Inhalten:<br /Alpiner Ski Weltcup (Neues Design) > Olympische Winterspiele (Redesign) Gängige Design Methoden sollen im Zuge dieser Diplomarbeit aus der zur Verfügung stehenden Literatur auf mögliche Anwendbarkeit überprüft und gegebenenfalls modifiziert werden. Anschließend sollen diese Methoden in einem Design- und einem Redesign- Prozess zur Anwendung gebracht werden.<br />Nach der Anwendung soll bewertet werden wie effizient die Methoden gewesen sind und welchen Einfluss die Partizipation gehabt hat.<br />

Two web applications using participatory design methods are developed, so as to obtain the best possible design and effect in a general sense for the users. The Web applications are part of a project with the contents of the APA (Austria Press Agency) created, and possibly for dissemination to local and foreign news portals may also be added. In both applications it revolves around the world of winter sports with the following contents:<br /Ski World Cup (new design) > Winter Olympics (redesign) Conventional design methods should be in the course of this thesis from the available literature reviewed for possible applicability and modified as necessary. Subsequently, these methods are brought into a design and redesign process for the application. Should be evaluated as efficient by the application have been the methods and the impact participation has had.
