Nachhaltige Metamorphose & Nachverdichtung der Stadt : die Stadt auf der Stadt zu bauen - PAV | eine zentrale Stadterneuerung

Abstract

Genf ist eine Stadt, die zurzeit und auch in den kommenden Jahren einem hohen Bevölkerungswachstum ausgesetzt ist, weil seine Lebensqualität und ökonomische Relevanz zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnen.<br />Die grossen Herausforderungen für die zukünftige Entwicklung sind die Kontrolle der damit verbundenen Wohnungskrise und der erhöhte Pendelverkehr.<br />Der Stadtteil Praille-Acacias-Vernets ist im Mittelpunkt der Reflexion.<br />Er ist ein industrielles Gebiet von 230ha, welches gleich an das Stadtzentrum angrenzt. Mithilfe der Etablierung einer neuen S-Bahn Linie wird dieser Stadtteil stärker ins Zentrum des öffentlichen Verkehrs gerückt. Die Strategie für die Umsetzung einer hohen Dichte sollte Wohnungen und die damit verbundenen Anforderungen berücksichtigen. Der architektonischer Entwurf versucht eine Antwort für eine nachhaltige Metamorphose und Nachverdichtung eines kleinen Teils dieses riesigen Gebiets zu geben. Nach einer städtebaulichen Phase der Arbeit versucht das nachhaltige Entwicklungsprinzip bis ins Detail auf ein Gebäude und seine Konstruktion einzugehen. Um die verwendbaren Ressourcen langfristig zu nutzen, ist die 2000 Watt-Gesellschaft als Richtwert in die Überlegungen miteinzubeziehen.

Geneva is a town exposed now and for the next few years to a fast increasing population, due to its high quality of life and economic importance. This trend will go on for some time. The major challenges for the future developments are the control of the housing crisis and the associated increasing commuter traffic.<br />The town district of Praille-Acacias-Vernets is in the centre of this reflexion. It is an industrial area of 230 hectares, which borders on the city centre. The construction of a new suburban train line will place this district at the centre of the of public transport system. It will offer the opportunity to increase the population concentration of the city with the integration of apartments and related requirements.<br />The architectural project tries to find an answer for a sustainable metamorphosis and housing concentration for a small part of this huge zone. After an urban development phase the thesis attempts to apply the sustainable development principle down to the details of a building and its construction. It uses the ideas of the 2000 watt-society as guidelines for the long-term protection of the natural resources of the Earth.<br />
