Kulturfabrik Neudorf : neuer Spirit für das Nordburgenland

Abstract

Um Gebäude zu erhalten, sollte man sie am besten benützen. Leerstehende Objekte bergen ein enormes Potential in sich. Sie sind Identität einer Region, prägen ihre Umgebung und erzählen durch ihre Materialien und Strukturen von ihrer Vergangenheit. Das Revitalisieren historischer Gebäude bringt räumliche Qualitäten zum Vorschein und kreiert Atmosphären, die in reinen Neubauten so nicht zustande kommen würden. Neudorf bei Parndorf ist eine kleine Gemeinde im Nordburgenland, unweit von Wien, gelegen im Dreiländereck mit Ungarn und der Slowakei. Die zweisprachige Gemeinde, geprägt von der kroatischen Kultur, legt viel Wert auf ihre Herkunft und Geschichte, ihr Vereinsleben und die Brauchtums- und Kulturpflege. Am Ortsrand neben dem Bahnhof befindet sich eine heute leerstehende, ehemalige Spiritusbrennerei. Thema der Arbeit ist die Revitalisierung und Erweiterung des denkmalgeschützten, selten noch erhaltenen Industriebaus der Region des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts und seine Neunutzung als örtliches Vereins- und regionales Kulturzentrum. Ein sensibler Umgang mit der gebauten Umwelt, die Wertschätzung des Vorhandenen, regionale Einflüsse im Neubau und die Verbindung von Tradition und Moderne spielen eine wichtige Rolle. Die Schaffung des räumlichen Angebotes für eine kulturelle Vielfalt fördert die Aufwertung des sozial-öffentlichen Lebens im Dorf, stärkt das Gemeinschaftsgefühl und macht das Zentrum zu einem Treffpunkt für die gesamte Region. Der Ort wird belebt, gewinnt an Bedeutung, entwickelt sich weiter und wahrt dennoch seine Identität.

The best way to preserve buildings is to use them. Vacant objects carry enormous potential. They are identity of a region; they characterise their environment and reveal their history through materials and structure. The revitalisation of historic buildings unfolds spatial qualities and creates atmospheres which cannot be achieved by building new objects. Neudorf bei Parndorf is a small village in the northern part of Burgenland, close to Vienna, at the tripoint between Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. The bilingual village, which is characterized by its Croatian ethnic culture, attaches great value on its origin, history, social life and the cultivation of customs and traditions. A former abandoned distillery is located at the southern edge of the village next to the railway station. Subject of the paper is the revitalisation and extension of the heritage-protected and rarely preserved industrial building of the early 20th century as well as its reuse as a local public center and a regional cultural center. Careful consideration of the built environment, appreciation of the existing, regional impacts on the new building and the combination of tradition and modernity play a significant role. The creation of a new cultural space enhances social and public life in town, strengthens the sense of community and turns the center into a venue for the whole region. The town comes to life, gains in importance, develops and still preserves its identity.Abstract KroatischDa bi se zgradnja očuvala je važno, da se hasnuje. Prazni objekti imjau visoki potencijal. Oni su identiteta jedne pokrajine, davaju okolici oblik i povidaju kroz materijal i strukturu o njihovoj prošlosti. Revitalizacija historičnih zgardanja pokazuje prostorni kvalitet i stvori atmosferu, koja bi se u novogradnja nikako ne bi mogla ostvariti. Novo Selo je mala općina u sjevernom Gradišću, ne daleko od Beča, uloženo u tromedje med Ugarsku i Slovačku. Dvojezično selo, kovano od hrvatske kulture, poštuje svoje porijeklo i svoju povjest i se trudi za očuvanje i gajenje običajev Hrvatov na Hati a osebujno novoseokoga narodnoga dobra. Na rubu sela pokraj kolodvora se nahaja bivša fabrika za špiritus. Predmet ovoga djela je revitalizacija i proširenje te spomenikom začuvane i rijetke - ali još dobro očuvane - industrijske zgrade iz ranoga 20. Stoleća. Isto tako ide za oživljavanje te zgrade kao centar za seoska društva i regionalnu kulturu. Važne uloge imaju poštivanje onoga ča postoji, regionalni uticaji u gradnji novih zgrada i povezivanje tradicije i suvremenosti. Osnivanje ponude za kulturnu raznolikost podupira osjećaj zajedništva u selu i zna omogućiti da općina postane kulturni centar cijele krajine. Selo se oživi, dobi značenje i se zna na jednu stran dalje razviti i na drugu stran očuvati svoj identitet.
