The thesis work is based on an extensive literature research in combination with the feedback and expertise of the industry professionals. The key findings of the research pointed out at the facts that, in order to provide organization with a coherent framework to develop their own optimized workplace environment a Value Adding Workplace Model is proposed. Based on the four value drivers(Creativity, Productivity, Cost efficiency and Quality of Life) work should beperformed at the workplace best fitted for the respective task. This inevitably leads to a hybrid workplace solution with the corporate office, coworking office and workingfrom-home bringing their respective advantages together. The main concept is to no longer assign employees to a fixed desk or even a building; but to provide flexibility and focus on the qualitative output rather than to means of its performance. AI and machine learning will be taking over many existing repetitive jobs but at the same time offering new opportunities. However, machine learning is predicted to be further expanded towards more complex knowledge workers field of expertise, meaning that increasingly less workplaces will be required for repetitive tasks in the future.
