Hanreich, B. E. (2009). Comparative cost-benefit analysis of selling CO2 emission reduction units for Teak plantations in Costa Rica [Master Thesis, Technische Universität Wien]. reposiTUm. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12708/177839
The paper researches under which circumstances it is more beneficial for a company with Teak plantation to sell its CO2-emission reduction units generated by a forestry project at the Chicago Climate Exchange or to devolve this right to the National Foundation of Forest Financing of Costa Rica. The used method is a cost-benefit analysis based on the Net Present Value of the two options. The results show that above a price of USD 8.6 per CO2-equivalent it is more beneficial to sell at the Chicago Climate Exchange.
