Abstract:

The present diploma thesis deals with the campus expansion of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Fischerdorf. In its Vision 2030, TID pursues the goal of expanding its capacities to 10,000 students. The area under consideration is easily accessible from the existing location via the Danube promenade and a pedestrian and cyclist bridge. The work is therefore divided into two construction phases:BA 1- Immersbühl Construction phase 1 is located southwest of the city on the other side of the Danube. Until now it isused for agriculture. The new campus is to be built here.BA 2- Danube promenade Construction phase 2 is located west of the city center, as an extension of the former state horticulturalshow s ite. Together with the pedestrian and cyclist bridge, the areas form the junction to the new campusarea. The aim of the work is to develop an urban design for the Immersbühl area, which fits in architecturally and topographically to the conditions of a U-shaped embedding between embankment, motorway andrailway line. Likewise, with the help of the space program for a research building of the TID that has already been applied for, this should be developed and elaborated architecturally concrete and detailed. In addition, defined areas between the existing and new campus location on the Danube promenade are to be reconsidered and redesigned in the quality of open space planning. These should be able to offer the students and the entire population of Deggendorf added value on the way to the new location along the Danube. The structure of the work is as follows: Starting with an idea of the location Deggendorf itself, an analysis of the two construction sites is carried out. Continued through an analysis of the campus topic, the workmoves on to the concept phase of the design, and ultimately to the design phase itself.
