Abstract:
Im Zentrum der Stadt Mattersburg liegen das Fußballstadion des SVM (Sportverein Mattersburg) sowie ein angrenzender Trainingsplatz. Das umliegende Gebiet beinhaltet noch zusätzlich die Sportanlagen der zwei Tennisvereine, das Freibad mit einem Beachvolleyballplatz und Eislaufplatz inklusive Restaurant.Durch die Insolvenz der Commerzialbank Mattersburg und dem Abstieg des SMV Mattersburg in die unterste Fußballiga entstand die Idee das gesamte Areal in einen überwiegend öffentlich nutzbaren Sportpark umzugestalten.Geplant ist die Haupttribüne und den Fußballplatz für Fußballspiele und Events zu erhalten und die bestehenden Nutzungen (Tennis, Schwimmen, Eislaufen) im restlichen Areal aufzuwerten bzw. um weitere Angebote zu ergänzen. Entstehen soll ein für die Bevölkerung von Mattersburg breit nutzbares Freizeitareal.

The football stadium and a training ground of the SVM (Sportverein Mattersburg) are located in the center of Mattersburg. In the surrounding area there are also the sports facilities of the two tennis clubs, the outdoor pool with a beach volleyball court and an ice rink including a restaurant.Due to the insolvency of Commerzialbank Mattersburg and the relegation of SMV Mattersburg to the lowest soccer league, the idea arose to transform the entire area into a sports park that can be used predominantly by the public.The plan is to maintain the main grandstand and the soccer field for soccer matches and events and to upgrade the existing uses (tennis, swimming, ice skating) in the rest of the area and to add further facilities. The aim is to create a recreational area that can be widely used by the population of Mattersburg.
