Re-Heal it! Ambulantes Rehabilitationszentrum Sonnwendviertel

Abstract

Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Entwurf eines Rehabilitationszentrums im Sonnwendviertel, welcher sich im 10. Wiener Gemeindebezirk befindet.In der Bundeshauptstadt leben ein Drittel der Gesamtbevölkerung Österreichs.Diese Region besitzt ebenso die meisten Gesundheitseinrichtungen auf allenEbenen, wie Kliniken, Ambulanzen und Praxen. Wien glänzt unter anderem auch mit einer Vielfalt an Rehabilitationskliniken, die sich auf bestimmte Teilgebiete spezialisieren. Jedoch mangelt es in der Metropole an einem Rehabilitationszentrum, welches den Menschen zur Gänze umfasst.Man unterscheidet drei Bereiche: medizinische, physische und soziale Rehabilitation. Das Ziel der Rehabilitation ist es, den ehemaligen Gesundheitszustand der Patientin beziehungsweise des Patienten nach Unfall oder Erkrankung wiederherzustellen. Im Vergleich zur stationären dürfen die Patienten bei der ambulanten Rehabilitation ihr alltägliches Leben fort- und nebenbei die Therapien durchführen.Mit diesem konzeptuellen Entwurf soll ein medizinischer Ort mit dem Motto „Re-Heal it“ für physische und psychische Erholung geschaffen werden. Das Rehabilitationszentrum sollte als markantes Bauwerk in den Sonnwendviertel eingegliedert werden.

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a rehabilitation center in the Sonnwendviertel, which is located in Vienna‘s 10th district. A third of the total population of Austria live in the capital. This region also has most of the health facilities at all levels, such as clinics, ambulances and practices. Vienna stands out, with a variety of rehabilitation clinics that specialize in certain areas. However, there is a lack of a rehabilitation center in the metropolis that covers people as a whole.There are three areas: medical, physical and social rehabilitation. The aim of rehabilitation is to restore the patient‘s previous state of health after an accident or illness.Compared to inpatient rehabilitation, people in outpatient rehabilitation are allowed to continue their daylife and carry out the therapies on the side.This conceptual design aims to create a medical space for physical and mental recovery with the motto „Re-Heal it“. The rehabilitation center should be a striking building at the Sonnwendviertel.
