Diese Masterarbeit untersucht innovative Designs für Grundschulen und schlägt ein einzigartiges architektonisches Konzept vor: Klassenzimmer in Form eines sechsseitigen Polygons. Der zentrale Fokus dieses Projekts besteht darin, eine Umgebung für SchülerInnen zu schaffen, die ansprechend, attraktiv und fesselnd ist. Die polygonale Struktur der Klassenzimmer ermöglicht verschiedene Möbelanordnungen, durch die die individuellen Bedürfnisse jedes Faches erfüllt werden können. Ein weiterer Vorteil diesen Raumform ist, dass sie in zwei Himmelsrichtungen geöffnet ist. Dies ermöglicht nicht nur eines breiten Blickwinkels über das Außengelände, sondern auch eine bessere Belichtung. Die Natur spielt eine bedeutende Rolle für die Aufrechterhaltung einer gesunden Psyche. Der entwickelte Entwurf zeichnet sich durch eine grüne Fassade aus, die nicht nur die Verbindung zur Natur fördert, sondern auch die Produktivität und das Wohlbefinden der Schüler. Es ist wichtig zu bedenken, dass Schulen nicht nur Orte des Wissenserwerbs sind, sondern auch Orte, an denen Charaktere geformt werden und Beziehungen gebaut werden. Kinder sollten sich in ihren Schulen wohlfühlen, insbesondere wenn ihnen kein gesundes familiäres Umfeld zur Verfügung steht.

This Master thesis has for purpose the exploration of innovative school designs in order to develop a unique solution that triggers productivity in its students. The resulted building offers the unconventional spatial organisation of hexagon classrooms, having for a goal to turn the school into appealing place for children, that they feel happy to visit. This form allows different furniture arrangements, through which the individual needs of each subject can be fulfilled. It also makes it adaptable for diverse teaching/learning methods. The other huge advantage of hexagon classroom‘s shape is that they are open to 2 cardinal directions. This is beneficial not only for its broad range of view angle over the outdoor area, but also because it allows more light to flood into the room. The Nature plays significant role in maintaining healthy mental state. By designing a facade that foster a closer connection to the outdoor area, the productivity and wellbeing of the students could be encouraged. It’s important to remember that schools are not only a place for gaining knowledge, but also a place where characters and bonds are being formed. Children should feel in ease in their schools, especially if they don‘t have a healthy family environment available for them. Then schools are all they have left in terms of space to thrive in.
