Bildungscampus Nordwestbahnhof. Entwurf eines Bildungscampus

Abstract

Gegenstand dieser Diplomarbeit ist der Entwurf eines Wiener Bildungscampus nach dem Modell „Campus plus“ im Stadtentwicklungsgebiet Nordwestbahnhof. Bei den Wiener Campus+ Modell werden die Bildungsinstitutionen vor allem Kindergarten und Volksschule in einen Bildungsbereich untergebracht, die gemeinsam eine Multifunktionsfläche teilen. Des Weiteren sollte eine Sondergruppe oder eine Sonderklasse wie zum Beispiel Vorschule oder heilpädagogische Gruppe in den Bildungsbereichen geplant werden. Je nach Bedarf kann eine Mittelschule das Angebot ergänzen. Eine stadtteilbezogene Funktion wie eine Musikschule, ein Jugendzentrum oder ähnliche Einrichtungen sollten in den Campus integriert werden, damit auch die Anrainer davon profitieren können.Da das Bildungswesen ständig im Wandel ist, sollte der Schulbau an kontinuierliche Veränderungen angepasst werden. Die innovativen Lehr- und Lernmethoden erfordern neue Räumlichkeiten, die eine traditionelle Schule nicht mehr bieten kann Daher sollten Bildungsbauten an die zeitgemäßen Erfordernisse angepasst werden. Schulen sollen nicht nur als Lernorte betrachtet werden, sondern als Orte des Lernens und Lebens. Dabei soll der Fokus nicht ausschließlich auf die Förderung des Lernens liegen, sondern auch auf Bewegung, Spiel, Ruhe, Kommunikation, Essen und vieles mehr. Deswegen ist es wichtig die Qualitäten der Räumlichkeiten zu erweitern und Mehrfachnutzungen einzuplanen. Bei dem Entwurf werden diese Ansätze berücksichtigt und angewendet.

The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of a Viennese educational campus based on the "Campus plus" model in the Nordwestbahnhof urban development area. In the Campus plus model the educational institutions, mainly kindergarten and primary school, are placed in one educational area sharing a multifunctional space together. In addition, a special group or class, such as a preschool or curative education group should be included in the educational area. If necessary, a middle school can be added to this offer. For the benefit of local residents, the Campus Plus model should include neighbourhood functions such as music schools, youth centres or similar facilities.As education is in a constant state of change, school buildings need to be adapted to changing needs. Innovative teaching and learning methods require new spaces that traditional schools can no longer provide. New schools must therefore be adapted to today's needs. Schools should be seen not only as places of learning, but also as places of living. The focus should be on movement, play, rest, communication, eating and many other aspects, not just on promoting learning. Therefore, it is essential to improve the characteristics of school facilities and consider designing them to be multipurpose. These methods are considered and implemented in the design.
