Gegenstand der Diplomarbeit ist ein konzeptueller Entwurf für eine Grundschule mit neun Klassen, einer Kindergartengruppe, zwei sonderpädagogischen Klassen und einer Musikschule in der Kleinstadt Detva, die sich in der Zentralslowakei befindet. Neben den Bildungsräumen befinden sich in der Schule ein Turnsaal, Kreativ- und Werkräume, eine Bibliothek und ein Essbereich. Das pädagogische Raumprogramm wird um Freiflächen im Hof und auf der Dachterrasse ergänzt. Im Fokus steht der runde Bildungsraum, aus dem sich der ganze Baukörper heraus entwickelt. Runde Formen und Rampen ermöglichen fließende Bewegungen und barrierefreie Zugänge zu allen Räumen. Es wird sehr viel Wert auf die Bewegungsfreiheit und die Gleichwertigkeit aller Kinder gelegt - sowohl für körperlich gesunde Schüler*Innen, als auch für die Schüler*Innen mit Behinderung. Ein wichtiges Thema hierbei ist Flexibilität, um auf die angestrebten Anforderungen an neue Lernmethoden im Schulwesen zu reagieren. Bei dem Entwurf war es wichtig, den Schülern Raum für das Lernen, den sozialen Kontakt mit den Freund*Innen und anderen Mittschüler*Innen zu bieten.

The theme of this diploma work is a conceptual proposal of the school with 9 classes, one group of kindergarten children, two classes of special pedagogic and art school in town Detva which is situated in the Central Slovakia. Besides classes of general education there is also gym, classes for professional education, a library and a dining hall. Pedagogical program is complemented by areas in the courtyard and on the roof terrace. In the center of the attention is standing the round classroom from which unwinds the entire concept. The round forms and platforms enable the smooth movement and access for disabled to all areas. In the center is freedom and equality of movement for all children whether healthy or disabled. The important topic of a design is a flexibility that enables to react to requirements coming from the new methods of education in the educational system. In this design was important to provide to students space for studying, social contact with friends and classmates and for personal development.
