Abstract:
Modern buildings have a building automation system with countless sensors and actuators. These sensors and actuators are essential to operate the building efficiently and provide a comfortable environment for the occupants. Therefore, it is crucial that the building operator is aware of faults. Fault detection algorithms and semantic information about the building automation system can support the building operator in finding malfunctions. This paper presents how KNX~IoT can be used to derive a Digital Twin, and how the digital twin can be used in combination with a fault detection algorithm.
