Abstract:
Over the past 30 years, basic and application-oriented experimental and theoretical research has been carried out at the Institute of Geotechnics at the TU Wien on various topics on the dynamic soil structure interaction, near-surface, medium-depth and deep dynamic compaction and the ground improvement, as well as on dynamic compaction controls. The findings have all been implemented into practice. Following an overview of the research activities, this article presents a selection of the research performed.
