Abstract:
Exchanges of heat, mass, and momentum are of key importance in many applications involving turbulent multiphase flows. In this context, a case of particular interest is when the considered dispersed phase is composed of large and deformable drops and bubbles, for instance in bubble-column reactors or oil-water flows. Here, we study the heat transfer for a fixed shear Reynolds number by varying the Pradntl number, the ratio between momentum and thermal diffusivities.
