Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Entwurf eines multifunktionalen Kulturzentrums in Kusdili, welches sich in Istanbul befindet. Der Standort war in den 1900er Jahren eine Promenadengebiet, was heutzutage seine Grünraum- und Treffpunkt-Funktionen verloren hat Im Rahmen der Arbeit wird zuerst Kusdili nach historischen, sozialen und städtebaulichen Aspekten analysiert und versuchtnach heutigen Bedürfnissen der Bevölkerung wieder zu gestalten.In den folgenden Kapiteln ist die Gestaltung des Kulturzentrums im Fokus. Durch die Studie des gewählten Areals wird die Form des Gebäudes bestimmt und mit den entsprechenden sozialen Funktionen gefüllt.Das Kulturzentrum Kusdili wird durch seine architektonischenMerkmale und seine innen-und außenräumlichen Funktionen, nicht nur ein markantes Bauwerk für die Stadt Istanbul sondern auch ein Ort der Kultur und Natur.

The present work deals with the design of a multifunctional cultural center in Kusdili, which is located in Istanbul. The location of the Kusdili project was a promenade area around the 1900s, which has lost today its green spaces and meeting point functions.As part of the work, Kusdili is first analyzed according to historical, social and urban planning aspects and attempt to redesign it according to today’s needs of the population.The following chapters focus on the design of the cultural center. By studying the selected area, the shape of the building is determined and filled with the corresponding social functions.The Kusdili cultural center is not only a striking building for the city of Istanbul but also a place of culture and nature thanks to its architectural features and its indoor and outdoor functions.
