Abstract:

Places are described by users that make a huge number of textual contents. This work proposes a novel method for place recommender system based on the integration of semantic space and geographic space. To achieve this goal, salient features are modeled as directions in a domain specific semantic space. Finally, these directions and geographic distances can be used to rank places according to corresponding features.
