Urbaner Wandel - Umplanung und Nachverdichtung der Schlachthausgasse 13 in Wien

Abstract

Gegenstand der Diplomarbeit ist ein erweiterbares Wohnbauprojekt mit zusätzlich öffentlichen Nutzungen. Der Bauplatz befindet sich auf dem Grundstück des ehemaligen Gasthauses „Amon‘s Gastwirtschaft“, an der Adresse Schlachthausgasse 13, in Wien. Der Entwurf nimmt zunächst das Grundstück des Gasthauses, sowie den gesamten Innenhof der Blockrandbebauung ein und füllt diesen mit neuen Nutzungen. Im Zuge der Arbeit werden drei Zukunftsszenarien entwickelt, in denen der Entwurf nach und nach den gesamten Häuserblock einnimmt und diesen schlussendlich gänzlich umfasst. Im Fokus steht eine nachhaltige, anpassbare Bauweise, die maximale Entsiegelung des Bodens, Flexibilität des Raumes und die Schaffung von öffentlichen, zum Teil konsumfreien Orten mit einer hohen Aufenthaltsqualität. Durch die Konstruktion ermöglicht der Entwurf eine durchgängige öffentliche, grüne und barrierefreie Achse von der Schlachthausgassse bis zur Würtztlerstraße, durch den gesamten Block. Im letzten Szenario, welches im Jahr 2100 spielt und das Ergebnis meiner Arbeit bildet, entsteht eine fast komplett entsiegelte, grüne Erdgeschosszone, die den gesamten Häuserblock einnimmt und eine neue Verbindung zwischen Wohnraum und Natur in einem urbanen Umfeld schafft.

The subject of this diploma thesis is an expandable residential project with additional public utilities. The building site takes place at the property of an old tavern „Amon‘s Gastwirtschaft“, which is located at the adress Schlachthausgasse 13 in Vienna. The project initially takes up the property of the old tavern, as well as the entire inner courtyard of the block development around the tavern and fills it with new uses. In the course of the work, three future scenarios are developed in which the design gradually takes up the entire block and ultimately encompasses it entirely. The main focus is on sustainable, adaptable construction, unsealing the existing sealed soil, flexibility of space and the creation of public, partly consumption-free spaces with a high quality of stay. The design enables a continuous public, green and accessible axis through the block, from Schlachthausgasse to Würtztlerstrasse. In the last scenario, which takes place in the year 2100 and is the result of my thesis, an almost completely unsealed, green ground floor zone is created that takes up the entire block and creates a new connection between living space and nature in an urban environment.
