The following work is dealing with an urban design and further on with the design of a building construction in the 16th district between Thaliastraße and Ottakringer Straße from west of the Ottakringer brewery to the east. The 20 hectares plot, was chosen because the Ottakringer stream used to flow in that area and is brought back to the top in natural forms in the urban designs.Special content of the design are urbanistic approaches and studies on the one hand and the solving of construction details on the other hand. The new and the existing neighborhood can use the park via axes that are left open inbetween the built surrounding. A less land consuming approach was designed with leaving ground floors open and reducing impact to the soil. Windows from floor to ceiling and glass facades can connect the inside and the outside with daylight and air at all times of the day. Green facades of stairways are part of the lively aimed climate and function as a privacy protective filter. Buildings can function self-sufficient, furthermore the urban design shall provide space for all kind of different needs, while leaving space undefined.
