Abstract

Meine Diplomarbeit basiert auf Recherchen über die Partizipation im modernen Museum, die im letzten Semester begonnen wurden. Nachdem ich einige Texte analysierte und die wichtigsten Punkte untersucht hatte, legte ich den Grundstein für mein Projekt. Es besteht aus dem Bau eines Museums für moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst in der Stadt Bari in Süditalien. Bari ist die Hauptstadt der Region Apulien und ist im Prozess der demografischen und städtischen Expansion und viele Gebiete davon sind immer noch Gegenstand von Studien für eine architektonische städtebauliche Verbesserung. Unter diesen Gebieten befindet sich der Bezirk San Cataldo, der um den Leuchtturm der Stadt Bari herum geboren wurde. Die neuen Projekte, die für das Gebiet vorgeschlagen werden, sind die Fußgängerzone des Waterfront, der Bau eines Yachthafens und zweier Museen im Leuchtturmgebäude. Um der Nachbarschaft ein neues Bild zu geben, entschied ich mich, den Bereich neben dem Leuchtturm als Bauplatz zu nutzen. Das Museum verfügt über ein Gebäude von 5000 Quadratmetern, in Foyer, Bar und Panorama-Restaurant Konferenzraum, Büros, Ausstellungsräume, Werkstätten und Technik- und Lagerräume unterteilt. Das Konzept hinter dem Gebäude ist es, das Meer zurück in die Stadt zu bringen. In der Tat, dank der Platzierung mehrerer künstlichen Wasserspiegel außerhalb des Museums, scheint das Gebäude zu schweben. Darüber hinaus, definiert man wegen der Wasserkanalisierung zwei Außenräume, von denen einer als Treffpunkt und der andere für Skulpturenausstellungen im Freien genutzt werden können. Wasser hat nicht nur eine ästhetische Bedeutung und ist rein mit dem Territorium verbunden, sondern auch funktional, da es das Heizkühlsystem der Innenräume des Museums versorgt. Die Ausstellungsräume wechseln sich auf sechs Ebenen ab und sind nach Themen unterteilt. In den ersten Etagen sind die Räume für Fotoausstellungen konzipiert, dann finden wir im dritten und vierten Stock die Ausstellungen moderner und zeitgenössischer Kunst, schließlich sind die obersten Etagen künstlerischen Installationen gewidmet. Ein Element, das alle Ausstellungssäle vereint, ist der Entwurf eines Raumes am Ende jeder Ausstellung für partizipative Aktivitäten im Zusammenhang mit dem ausgestellten Thema, wie Handzeichnung und perspektivische Fotografie. Auf diese Weise entsteht ein neues Zentrum im Stadtteil San Cataldo, das nicht nur die Bürger der Stadt selbst, sondern auch Touristen empfängt, und das Museum wird zu einem integralen Bestandteil der Stadtplanung als Ort der Kultur und Treffpunkt für diejenigen, die die Stadt besuchen und leben.

My diploma thesis is based on research on participation in the modern museum, which was started in the last semester. After analyzing some texts and examining the most important points, I laid the foundation for my project. It consists of the construction of a museum of modern and contemporary art in the city of Bari in southern Italy. Bari is the main city of Apulia; she is in the process of demographic and urban expansion and many areas of it are still the subject of studies for architectural urban improvement. Among these areas is the district of San Cataldo, which was born around the lighthouse of the city of Bari. The new projects proposed for the area are the pedestrian zone of the Waterfront and the construction of a marina and two museums in the lighthouse building. In order to give the neighborhood a new picture, I decided to use the area next to the lighthouse as the construction site. The museum has a building of 5000 square meters, divided into foyer, bar and panoramic restaurant, conference room, offices, exhibition rooms, workshops and technical and storage rooms. The concept behind the building is to bring the sea back to the city. In fact, thanks to the placement of several artificial water mirrors outside the museum, the building seems to float. In addition, because of the water channeling, two outdoor spaces are defined, one of which can be used as a meeting place and the other for outdoor sculpture exhibitions. Water not only has an aesthetic meaning and is purely associated with the territory, but also functional, since it supplies the heating cooling system of the interiors of the museum. The exhibition rooms alternate on six levels and are divided into themes. On the first floors, the rooms are designed for photo exhibitions, then on the third and fourth floors we find the exhibitions of modern and contemporary art, finally, the top floors are dedicated to artistic installations. An element that unites all exhibition halls is the creation of a space at the end of each exhibition for participatory activities related to the exhibited theme, such as hand drawing and perspective photography. In this way, a new center is created in the San Cataldo district, which welcomes not only the citizens of the city itself, but also tourists, and the museum becomes an integral part of urban planning as a place of culture and meeting place for those who visit and live the city.
