Erstellung eines Digitalen Produktpasses für ein Spritzgussteil: Fokus auf den CO2-Fußabdruck entlang der Wertschöpfungskette vom Werkzeugstahl bis zum Kunststoffprodukt

Abstract

Mit der Einführung der „Ökodesign-Verordnung“ der EU im Rahmen des European Green Deal wurde der digitale Produktpass (DPP) offiziell etabliert. Die damit einhergehende Datentransparenz könnte einen maßgeblichen Beitrag zur Förderung der Kreislaufwirtschaft leisten. Obgleich der legislative Kontext des DPP bereits hinreichend geklärt ist, bestehen hinsichtlich seiner praktischen Umsetzung noch diverse offene Fragepunkte. Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der Frage, wie ein Produktionsprozess eines Kunststoffprodukts mithilfe des DPP dargestellt werden kann. Dieser Prozess beinhaltet im Rahmen dieser Arbeit den Zuschnitt eines Halbzeugs aus Werkzeugstahl, das spanenden Bearbeiten zur Erstellung eines Inlays zum Einbau in ein bestehendes Spritzgusswerkzeug sowie den Spritzgussprozess, welcher zur Erstellung des Kunststoffteils notwendig ist. In der Folge soll auf Basis dieser Modellierung der CO2-Fußabdruck des Kunststoffprodukts über den Gesamtprozess hinweg berechnet werden.Dafür ist es unerlässlich, ein einheitliches, standardisiertes und interoperables Datenformat für den DPP zu wählen. Eine Möglichkeit, welche auch in der Literatur großen Zuspruch findet, ist die Asset Administration Shell (AAS) aus dem Kontext der Industrie 4.0. Basierend auf einer Ökobilanz nach DIN EN ISO 14040 werden die Systemgrenzen des gesamten Produktionsprozesses bestimmt, welche die beteiligten Produkte, Ressourcen und Teilprozesse umfassen. Diese werden als DPP oder digitaler Prozesspass im Datenformat der AAS modelliert, miteinander vernetzt und mit Primär- und Sekundärdaten befüllt. Durch die Verwendung von entsprechenden Software Tools werden diese Daten verfügbar gemacht und in eine eigens entwickelte Berechnungslogik integriert. Mit Hilfe dieser Berechnungslogik wird der CO2-Fußabdruck des Kunststoffteils ermittelt und an den DPP des Bauteils zurückgegeben. Somit lässt sich durch die Verwendung dieser externen Logik eine Berechnung und Akkumulation von Daten eines mehrstufigen Produktionsprozesses realisieren. Gleichzeitig wird eine standardisierte Bereitstellung der Ergebnisse durch die Verwendung der AAS ermöglicht. Die einzelnen AAS werden dabei so entworfen, dass diese relevanten Daten für einen DPP für Produkte und Ressourcen bzw. DPssP für Prozesse für die Elemente entlang der Wertschöpfungskette bereitstellen. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit können auf diese Weise relevante Umweltdaten über den Prozess hinweg berechnet werden.

The introduction of the EU's ‘Ecodesign’ regulation as part of the European Green Deal officially established the Digital Product Passport (DPP). The data transparency that goes along with it will make a significant contribution to promoting the circular economy. Although the legislative context of the DPP has already been sufficiently clarified, there are still various open questions regarding its practical implementation.This thesis deals with the question of how a production process for a plastic product can be visualised with the help of DPP. In the context of this work, this process includes the cutting of a semi-finished product from tool steel, the machining to create an inlay for installation in an existing injection moulding tool and the injection moulding process required to create the plastic part. Subsequently, the CO2 footprint of the plastic product across the entire process is to be calculated on the basis of this modelling.To do this, it is essential to choose a uniform, standardized and interoperable data format for the DPP. One option, which is also very popular in the literature, is the Asset Administration Shell from the context of Industry 4.0.Based on a life cycle assessment according to DIN EN ISO 14040, all products, resources and sub-processes involved are determined. These are modelled as DPP or digital process passports in the AAS data format, linked together and filled with primary and secondary data. The use of appropriate software tools makes this data available and integrates it into a specially developed calculation logic. This calculation logic determines the CO2 footprint of the plastic part and returns it to the DPP of the component.The use of this external logic therefore makes it possible to calculate and accumulate data from a multi-stage production process. At the same time, standardized provision of the results is made possible by using the AAS. The individual AAS are designed in such a way that they provide relevant data for a DPP for products and resources or DPssP for processes for the elements along the value chain. As part of this work, relevant environmental data can be calculated across the process in this way.
