This poster introduces PySimultan, a Python module developed to integrate the SIMULTAN mata data model (SMDM) with various building performance simulation (BPS) tools and libraries. The SMDM, which enables the flexible representation of complex data, combined with the powerful programming capabilities of Python, offers an innovative approach to streamlining and improving BPS workflows.
PySimultan enables the seamless import and manipulation of the SMDM in Python, utilising taxonomy-based mapping to accurately represent complex data structures. This integration enables efficient automation of simulation processes, real-time data processing and improved interoperability between different BPS tools. The module addresses common challenges in practice, such as managing heterogeneous data formats and ensuring consistency between different simulations and tools.
