Imkerei und ihre Verbindung zur Architektur und Natur stehen im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit, dargestellt durch das Projekt einer Honigfabrik mit Besucherzentrum. Das Gebäude liegt in der unberührten Natur von Sipovo in Bosnien und Herzegowina, an einem idealen Ort für Imkerei und touristische Entwicklung. Neben der Produktionszone umfasst das Gebäude einen Bereich, der BesucherInnen Einblicke in die Honigproduktion, die ökologische Bedeutung der Bienen und deren Schutz näherbringt. Die architektonische Lösung basiert auf der Analyse des Standorts und der Anfordrungen der Imkerei. Ziel war es, einen Raum zu schaffen, der sowohl die praktischen Bedürfnisse der Imkerei erfüllt als auch den BesucherInnen die Möglichkeit bietet, neues Wissen zu erwerben und die Bedeutung der Bienen für das ökologische Gleichgewicht zu verstehen. Diese Arbeit leistet einen bescheidenen Beitrag zum Schutz der Bienen, der Natur und zur Entwicklung einer Architektur, die auf aktuellen Herausforderungen reagiert, unter Berücksichtigung der tiefen Verbindung der Autorin zur Imkere und einer langen Familientradition.

Beekeeping and its connection to architecture and nature are the central focus of this thesis, represented through the project of a honey factory with a visitor center. The building is located in the natural landscape of Sipovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, at a site ideal for beekeeping and tourism development. In addition to the production area, the building includes a section that offers visitors insights into honey production, the ecological significance of bees, and the importance of their protection. The architectural solution is based on the analysis oh the site and specific requirements of beekeeping. The aim was to create a space that not only meets the practcal needs of beekeeping but also offers visitors the opportunity to aacquire new knowledge and understand the role of bees in maintaining ecological balance. This thesis makes a modest contribution to the protection of bees, nature and the development of architecture that responds to contemporarychallenges, grounded in the author’s familial ties to beekeeping.
