In einer sich stetig wandelnden Gesellschaft kommt der Schule nicht mehr nur die Rolle eines reinen Lernorts zu – sie entwickelt sich zunehmend zu einem ganzheitlich nutzbaren Lebensraum. Um dieser Entwicklung gerecht zu werden, bedarf es innovativer Konzepte, die eine flexible Nutzung sowohl der Innen- als auch der Außenräume ermöglichen. Die Schulen sollen Orte sein, an denen sich Kinder und Jugendliche nicht nur Wissen aneignen, sondern sich auch wohlfühlen, entfalten und in ihrer Persönlichkeit wachsen können.Die Bildung ist ein zentraler Bestandteil unseres Lebens. Sie beginnt im frühen Kindesalter und begleitet uns lebenslang - sei es in der Schule, während der Ausbildung, im Studium oder durch informelle Lernprozesse im Alltag. Das Lernen ist ein kontinuierlicher, individueller Prozess, der stark vom Umfeld beeinflusst wird. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, ein vertieftes Verständnis dafür zu erlangen, inwiefern architektonische Gestaltungsentscheidungen das Lernverhalten, die Motivation sowie das subjektive Wohlbefinden von Schüler*innen positiv beeinflussen oder beeinträchtigen können.

In a constantly evolving society, schools are no longer merely places of learning – they are increasingly becoming holistic living environments. To meet this development, innovative concepts are needed that allow for the flexible use of both indoor and outdoor spaces. Schools should be places where children and young people not only acquire knowledge but also feel comfortable, develop freely, and grow in their personalities.Education is a central part of our lives. It begins in early childhood and accompanies us throughout our lives – whether at school, during vocational training, at university, or through informal learning processes in everyday life. Learning is a continuous, individual process that is strongly influenced by the surrounding environment.The aim of my work is to develop a deeper understanding of how architectural decisions can support or hinder students’ learning behavior, motivation, and well-being.
