Revitalisierung des Heybeliada Sanatoriums : ein Neubeginn als Zentrum für Gesundheit, Medizingeschichte und Bildung

Abstract

Wie wäre es, ein fast hundertjähriges architektonisches Erbe zu neuem Leben zu erwecken und es in einen Ort zu verwandeln, an dem Gesundheit, Geschichte und Bildung harmonisch miteinander verschmelzen? Die Arbeit behandelt die Revitalisierung des Heybeliada Sanatoriums und dessen Umwandlung in ein multifunktionales Zentrum für Gesundheit, Medizingeschichte und Bildung.Ziel ist es, ein Konzept zu entwickeln, das historische Gebäude in eine moderne Gesundheitseinrichtung umwandelt, die gleichzeitig als medizinisches Museum dient und Raum für Bildungsaktivitäten bietet. Der theoretische Teil befasst sich mit der Entwicklung von Gesundheitsgebäuden, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf architektonischen und historischen Merkmalen liegt. Der Standort Heybeliada wurde ebenfalls analysiert, um den aktuellen Zustand des Sanatoriums und die Bedeutung des Denkmalschutzes zu untersuchen. Im zweiten Teil werden die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse in die Entwicklung einer Neunutzung einfließen, die Gesundheit, Geschichte und Bildung miteinander verbindet und die historische Identität des Sanatoriums respektiert. Besonderer Wert wird dabei auf Nachhaltigkeit, Barrierefreiheit und denkmalgerechte Erhaltung gelegt.Diese Arbeit trägt zur Erhaltung und modernen Nutzung eines bedeutenden architektonischen Erbes bei, indem sie historische und kulturelle Werte mit innovativen Konzepten verbindet.

What would it be like to revitalize an almost century-old architectural heritage and transform it into a place where health, history, and education blend harmoniously?The thesis deals with the revitalization of the Heybeliada Sanatorium and its transformation into a multifunctional center for health, medical history, and education, with the aim of developing a concept that transforms the historic building into a modern health facility that also serves as a medical museum and provides space for educational activities. The theoretical part deals with the development of healthcare buildings, focusing on architectural and historical features. The Heybeliada site was also analyzed to examine the current state of the sanatorium and the importance of heritage protection. In the second part, the knowledge gained will be incorporated into the development of a new use that combines health, history, and education and respects the historical identity of the sanatorium. Particular emphasis will be placed on sustainability, accessibility, and preservation in line with the listed building status.This work contributes to the preservation and modern use of an important architectural heritage by combining historical and cultural values with innovative concepts.
