Kulturbrücke als Oase : Kultur- und Marktzentrum in Ulaanbataar

Abstract

In dieser Arbeit wird die Planung eines Kulturzentrums mit Markt vorgestellt, das als Brücke zwischen der historischen Stadt Gandan und dem neuen Stadtteil Urt Tsagaan dienen soll. Das betreffende Gebiet wurde durch eine ungeplante Stadtsanierung stark beeinträchtigt. Die bestehenden Gebäude wurden unzureichend instand gehalten und saniert. Zudem wird die Umgebung durch den Lärm der umliegenden Straßen geprägt. Aufgrund des Marktes und der Parkplätze gibt es in diesem Gebiet keine Grünanlagen. Das neue Konzept setzt genau hier an: Es sieht den Bau eines multifunktionalen Zentrums vor, das kulturelle und kommerzielle Aktivitäten vereint und die städtische Atmosphäre neu gestaltet, um eine entspannte, lebenswerte Umgebung zu schaffen.

This Project presents the design of a cultural centre with a market, intended to serve as a bridge between the historic city of Gandan and the new district of Urt Tsagaan. The area in question has been severely affected by unplanned urban redevelopment. The existing buildings have been inadequately maintained and renovated. In addition, the area is characterised by noise from the surrounding roads. Due to the market and car parks, there are no green spaces in this area. This is where the new concept comes in: it envisages the construction of a multifunctional centre that combines cultural and commercial activities and redesigns the urban atmosphere to create a relaxed, livable environment.
