In dieser Arbeit sollen Typologien der Logistik erforscht und auf ihre Aktualität überprüft werden. Die oftmals an den Knotenpunkten einer logistischen Versorgungskette liegenden Gebäude, deren Hauptaufgaben das Bündeln und Verteilen von Warenströmen ist, prägen die Peripherien unserer Städte. Wolfgang Lehmacher beschreibt Logistik als eine gesamtheitliche Koordination von Waren- und Informationsbewegungen von der Quelle bis zur Senke. Somit entstehen weltweite Netzwerke von Güterströmen die sich überlappen und ergänzen können. Ein neuralgischer Punkt des weltweiten Warenverkehrs ist das Grundstück zwischen Autobahnknoten Schwechat und dem Hafen Albern. Eine Anbindung an das Schienennetz, durch bereits bestehende Logistikinfrastruktur, bietet die Möglichkeit an diesem Grundstück eine multimodales Logistikzentrum entstehen zu lassen. In Folge bildet eine generische Raumanalyse der zur verknüpfenden räumlichen Anforderungen die Grundlage fürspezifische Raumstudien. The object of this thesis is the research and analysis of logistics and distribution typologies. Those typologies are located on the outskirts of cities at intersections of various supply chains. Their main task is consolidation and distribution of all kinds of goods. Logistics is the science of planning, organizing and managing activities that provide goods or services from the source to the object. Assuming that the source is in a different country than the object, this is the foundation of globally connected supply chains. The building site is located on one intersection of several supply chains. The Area between the highway intersection, Knoten Schwechat and the harbour Albern is, because of existing logistic infrastructure, also connected to the rail network. Given those conditions the object is to create a structure that provides consolidation and distribution of goods between those lines of communication. Generic spatial analysis will provide the foundation for further specifi c structural designs.The aim of this thesis is the development of a new typology for logistical infrastructure.
