Burgenland provides a variety of renowned contemporary artists in various fields of arts. Painters and sculptors, film- and photographic artists, all of them express the creativity of the art scene in Burgenland in a variety of ways and carry it far beyond the state borders. Due to the annual "Burgenland youth culture award", which enables artists to submit works of arts in all kinds of areas, the province of Burgenland intensely supports young talents and contributes considerably to their promotion. Painting, sculpture, performing arts, music, film and photography solely provide a partial cross-section of the various areas that can be participated in. Nevertheless, it is challenging for young, yet unknown artists to become established in the local art scene. Not only this fact, but also the aspect of the village renewal of Krensdorf have been both my motives to discuss the subject intensively and to concentrate on arriving at a possible solution for intensifying the support of young artists and equally enhancing their motivation. The geographic position of Krensdorf indicates, with regard to its proximity of various cultural institutions of the state, on the one hand the state capital Eisenstadt and on the other hand the federal capital Vienna, that it is an ideal location to settle such a support facility for a young regional art scene. All essential facilities, commencing with interior and exterior workshops, presentation and exhibition spaces, the representative event hall through to the accommodations for artists, should provide an optimal platform for young artists. It is all topped off with spacious storage rooms and sophisticated dining, embedded in a typical Pannonian natural environment which ensures absolute peace and inspiration.
