Prague with its 1.24 million inhabitants has 67 cemeteries and two crematories with ceremony halls - the younger of them being 62 years old. (Built 1954) In such a timespan, inevitably, the ideas about funeral, society and even death itself have changed. The main idea of this project is to evaluate the possibility of building a new ceremony hall for Prague. In doing so, reflection about death itself brought me to the conclusion that burial -in any culture - is a process closely related to nature and its natural course. Therefore any architecture that would envelop this process should reflect nature. As a result of this thinking process I decided to look closely at nature, analyse it in terms of geometry and thus developed a new form and aesthetics for my project.
