Preinstorfer, P., Kromoser, B., & Kollegger, J. (2018). Bending behaviour of filigree structural elements made of textile reinforced UHPC. In Proceedings for the 2018 fib congress (pp. 358–359). http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12708/62494
By combining the high performance materials UHPC and carbon reinforcement together, structural elements with a high efficiency and durability can be created. An innovative structural element made of this material composition is introduced in this paper. To investigate the flexural behaviour of this novel elements a test series was planned and carried out at the Institute of Structural Engineering at TU Wien. In comparison to ordinary RC beams different failure mechanism were observed. In general, the structural elements indicated a high potential for future applications, although some further improvements have to be made to avoid failure mechanism as described in this paper.
