Chemische Wärmespeicherung für Kraftfahrzeuge - Auslegung und Optimierung von modularen Wärmespeicherpatronen

Abstract

Die immer strenger werdenden Umweltschutzauflagen der letzten Jahre haben speziell auf den Verkehrssektor große Auswirkungen. Um die Grenzwerte bezüglich der CO2-Emissionen einhalten zu können, müssen ständig neue Entwicklungen erzielt werden. Großes Verbesserungspotential liegt hier in der Warmlaufphase von Kraftfahrzeugen. In dieser treten wegen der ungünstigen Betriebsbedingungen erhöhte Emissionen, und somit auch ein erhöhter Kraftstoffbedarf auf. Ein Ansatz zu Verringerung dieser genannten Warmlaufphase ist eine zusätzliche Wärmezufuhr direkt nach dem Motorstart. Zu diesem Zweck bietet sich die chemische Wärmespeicherung an. Mit dieser sind einerseits hohe Speicherdichten erreichbar, und andererseits ist eine theoretisch verlustfreie Speicherung möglich. Somit kann während der Fahrt anfallende Wärme gespeichert, und beim Start wieder abgegeben werden. In dieser Arbeit soll eine modulare Wärmespeicherpatrone entwickelt werden, welche zu dem genannten Zweck geeignet ist. Der erste Teil umfasst das Entwerfen und Fertigen einer solchen Patrone. Danach werden verschiedene Salze zur Wärmespeicherung getestet. Dazu gehören auch verschiedene Befüllungsvarinaten des Reaktors mit geeigneten Trägermaterialien. Ziel ist es, eine Patrone mit einer möglichst hohen Leistung zu erhalten, welche hinsichtlich Gewicht und Wärmeleitung optimiert ist.

The requirements due to the environmental protection become more and more stringent over the last years. Especially the impact on the transport sector is very big. In this sector, it is necessary to make new developments to serve with the limit values of the CO2 emissions. Great room for improvement here is in the warm-up phase of motor vehicles. Because of the bad operation conditions in this phase, higher emissions occur and also the fuel consumption is increased. One possibility to reduce this warm-up phases is an additional heat input directly after the motor start. Therefor the chemical heat storage is an interesting solution. With this method, on the one hand, very high energy densities can be achieved, and on the other hand, theoretically it is realizable to store the energy without losses. In this way it is possible to store heat, which is produced during driving, and release this energy at the motor start. In this work, a modular heat storage cartridge which is suitable for this purpose has to be developed. In the first section, such a part should be designed and manufactured. In the second section, different salts for heat storage should be tested. This also includes the variable types of filling the reactor and different carrier materials. The target of this master thesis is, to get a cartridge with a maximal performance. Furthermore, it should be optimized in terms of weight and heat conduction.
