Abstract:
New technologies in building control and in-creasingly complex building systems have led to the need for more coordination and communica-tion across involved engineering domains. This paper presents a structural mapping and control structure generation approach. Control elements, their effects and interactions between devices and zones are mapped within a modular zone concept. It links to the structure of BIM and IFC data models. A scalable and automatable method for the generation of a hierarchical closed-loop control scheme is developed. The computer aided tool provides inputs for the planning process, the structured approach allows integration into per-formance- and optimization simulation work-flows.
