Conveyor belts are often used to transport products in automated manufacturing. This work focuses on synchronizing a process sequence of an industry robot with a moving product. Using such a synchronization motion, the process sequence can be performed during transportation on a conveyor belt. For this task, a mathematical model of a redundant collaborative robot with flexible joints is derived in a first step. Based on this model a control strategy is developed to synchronize the end-effector with a moving object. Additionally to the synchronized movement of the robot a path is planned to represent the process sequence of the robot. A collaborative scenario is investigated which includes a worker who carries the object. The path progress is dynamically monitored in order to stop the process sequence, if the object is moving too fast. Hereby erroneous process sequences are avoided. A fixed camera system is used to measure the position and orientation of the moving object. It is shown that a good accuracy of the process sequence on the moving object is achieved. Finally, the properties of a fixed camera system for this use case are discussed in more detail.
