Abstract:
In this paper the position sensorless control of a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) is discussed. In the low speed range the INFORM-method is an appropriate method for sensorless control. It exploits current-slopes to estimate the rotor-position angle, which makes the current measurement essential. The focus in this work lies on the influence of the current sensor characteristics on the quality of the INFORM method. Therefore, measurements with different sensor bandwidths and resolutions are carried out and the impact on the sensorless control performance is analysed.
