Abstract:

This diploma thesis debates the technology of 3D-scanning. 3D-bodyscans with different hardware solutions are produced. Further possibilities for the post-processing of the results are shown. Subsequently the 3D-bodyscans are measured with different software-programs in ordert o obtain body-measurements. To produce customized clothing through this information is the target. At first there is the problematic situation to find a suitable hardware / software combination which is classified in the lower price segment. It is important to find the optimal surrounding conditions like the correct physical position for the scanning procedure. The scan settings should be easy to implement. As the result the "Xbox Kinect" sensor has proven itself in combination with the software "ReconstructMe". The scan-setting "Selfie-Modus" especially improves at the best version to scan but a turnable platform must be manufactured to save the quality of the 3D-object. Finally, the results are qualified to produce customized clothing.
