Abstract:
WC-Ag contact materials have been manufactured by powder metallurgy techniques, i.e. wet mixing of the powders using various agents, milling, granulating, uniaxial compaction and sintering/infiltration. In particular the effects of additives and processing parameters on the mixing behaviour and the homogeneity of the resulting powder granulate have been assessed.
