Today, a successful company needs an efficient network for its information, cash and material flow. While in the past a static organized business structure seemed sufficient, nowadays the economic situation has clearly changed. Globalization and division of labor in value adding with an increasing number of product variants has risen enormously. Since the 90s, the internal organization was predominantly successfully coordinated with the lean transformation. According to Busch/Dangelmaier, the current and upcoming optimization focus lays on the development of cross-company interfaces. In this context, the goal of this thesis is to develop a systematic model, which includes the key aspects of the current situation and all cross-company flows considered in the underlying theoretical approaches that are relevant. In order to create this modeling, those underlying theoretical approaches are business process modeling and supply chain management. In particular, the SCOR model and the cross-company analysis are the two central references to develop the leading questions of this thesis. Eventually, the outcome of this thesis is an interface modeling, which responds to the current competitive situation and identifies the cross-company flows in a systematical way. While the interface modeling is focusing on all cross-company interfaces, this paper concentrates on the companies- supplier relations.
