Abstract:
Concerning the basic demand, a machine had to be constructed, which produces the part with the part name FR19-784. Therefore, this machine will be used in a serial production, and the finished part is generated through plastic deformation with a round tube as a semi-finished part. The main target was to design this production process that the cycle time of 45 seconds and the maximum investment of 55.000 Euro will not be overspent. Since the budget for investment was extended to 85.000 Euro, the aim was to keep the total cost within the Budget. When we look to the economical situation of the developed and produced Machine with a cycle time of 30 seconds and the unexhausted budget of 85.000 Euro, the result is a higher EBIT margin of at least 1% and a higher profit of at least 10.000 Euro over lifetime. Therefore, this aim was reached. Beside the financial challenge, the realization on schedule and quality of this machine had the highest priority, since the pre-serial production start of the Mercedes G class is in week 30/2017. The claim, to produce grade 1* parts till the end of week 26 in 2017, could be reached, because first parts were produced *under serial conditions *within the demanded tolerances in week 22. Thus, also this aim is reached. For the aim, to place the machine according the machine guideline on the market, necessary technical documents in adequate format have to be prepared. After that, the EG- conformity declaration for a machine has to be issued, which entitles the producer to provide the machine with the requested CE symbol. These necessary steps will be finished approximately till week 30. By the implementation of this project, an essential technological advance and technical know-how could be generated and secured in the area of the special machine construction at the location of the voestalpine Krems GmbH.
