Abstract: 
Advances in IoT and Big Data Technologies have fostered novel cost-effective and scalable solutions for solving complex problems in various application domains, such as city management and services, agricultures, logistics, M2M, to name just a few. In this talk, I will give an overview of IoT and big data research and development landscapes. I will discuss current trends in software frameworks and service engineering techniques that facility our research and development of IoT and big data solutions. I will also discuss potential use cases in the context of Vietnam.
