Abstract:

architecture is no universal remedy. the priority intention of this work is the architectural examination of brownfields in connection with waterbodies in the city of vienna. but it seems a little bit too superficial to set a building on a greenfield and say "now it is better". so this work is also a study about the future potentials of waterbodies in urban space. the results helps finding a projekt area and functions in connection with the social needings of this area along an waterstream. concepts are made not only for the project area but also for the whole waterstream.
