Abstract:
Firstly the work in this thesis aspires to present one of the most important notions in quality inspection of industrial products:
Automated surface inspection. In mass production with modern production technology, high precision and standards with great efficiency can be achieved by automation. Industrial image processing is one of the most common used procedures in automated surface inspection. The quality control is a part of the quality assurance. The aim of this study is to ensure high quality products that perform their intended functions properly.
In this thesis, I tried to describe and explain the most important methods and advanced industrial image processing.
Capital 1 is devoted to introduction.
Capital 2 mainly focuses on the most important standards and guidelines for the surface roughness inspection (international and ÖNORM) Capital 3 takes an interest in common definitions, classification and detection of shape deviations, profile filter, midline and midline system.
In capital 4 important notions of surface roughness parameters are mentioned.
In capital 5 an overall view of conventional methods of surface roughness inspection is provided.
Capital 6 is dedicated to industrial image processing methods.
