Abstract:

A special kind of electrical machine is presented in this thesis. The machine is a single stator-double rotor-machine. In the stator there are two rotors, which are beared independent of each other. The stator itself contains one conventional three phase winding. The possible types of the rotors are either a squirrel-cage rotor known from induction machines or a permanent magnet excited rotor, which is known from permanent-magnet synchronous machines. The voltage for the operation of the machine is supplied by an inverter, which produces the necessary voltage signal. The inverter itself is controlled by a signal processor system. By use of a suitable control structure it is possible to operate both rotors in a wide range of speed independent of each other. At the beginning a short overview on the space phasor model is presented. By use of the space phasors the mathematical model of the single stator-double rotor-machine is created. Then both submachines, the induction machine and the permanentmagnet-synchronous machine are presented. From the space phasor models of these machines the space phasor model of the single stator-double rotor-machine is derived. With this model the behaviour of the machine can be described. Further on an overview on the stationary operational mode of the model with constant angular velocity of both rotors is presented. With the derived mathematical model a simulation model is created. Different operational modes of the machine are simulated with help of the simulation model. The selected methods of rotor speed control are introduced. The usability of the selected control structure is also checked with help of the simulation model. Afterwards the simulation results are compared with measurements. These measurements were done on two prototypes. With this comparison between simulation and measurement the validity of the model is verified. At the end of the thesis a view into the future work and some possible fields of application are shown.
